Overview
The Cult of Clover is a pagan city cult in Molchegorsk. This is the name the organization uses for itself.
The cult exists in a city whose main religion is Orthodox Christianity. The Cult of Clover is known primarily through urban legends connecting its activities to disasters that changed Molchegorsk and the White Swallow River in the late nineteenth century.
Double iris
A defining trait of members of the Cult of Clover is eyes with concentric irises, also known as double irises. The cause of this trait has not been established. One version holds that it is a congenital mutation. Another belief is that the double iris appears as a result of the cult's unholy rites.

Connection to the Kirov Park disaster
One unofficial investigative theory links the Cult of Clover to the 1996 disaster at S. M. Kirov Central Park of Culture and Recreation. Shortly before the blackout, witnesses saw motionless people near the Ferris wheel, some of whom had eyes matching descriptions of double irises. After the disaster, a two-leaf clover was found scratched into the metal of an inner wheel support.
The identities of the people and the origin of the image could not be established. No official connection between the incident and the Cult of Clover was confirmed, and the two-leaf clover has not been established as a symbol of the cult.
Rites
Urban legends describe the rites of the Cult of Clover as unholy. The appearance of double irises among cult members is said to be one possible effect of these rites, but the reliability of this version has not been established.
